Squat results!!!

Maybe a TMI - but I had a dimple (more like a pothole) in my left buttock cheek. That has disappeared!!! I also notice a increase in the lift and overall look. Very firm on the sides... I am a true believer in these squats!!!! See below - out of the 30 days I didn't do any squats on 14 of those days. January Challenge

Goal totally NOT reached. I wanted to be down in the dumps about it but why dwell on it, why be negative towards myself with all the effort I did put in?  My goal was to reach 9,600 squats/sit ups. I do not like sit ups at all ( I have to find another workout to target my lower abs) The squats I really enjoyed got a real excitement on how many I could actually do a day. The most I did in one day was 470 (actually one morning). I reached a total combined of 4,757 . This is the first challenge I have stayed committed to EVER. So here's to me for the consistency I did keep. You go girl! P.S. Learn to be your own cheerleader!!!

1st Mini Workout Video

          First and foremost apologies for the poor video quality!  Breaking barriers - I would’ve never had the courage to post something such as this... my first fitness journey was extremely private. I didn’t understand “the process” I was only worried about the results. Now I want to share it all! That last set of squats almost took me out. My breathing was heavy, heart racing and all but guess what I DID IT! The full video is 10 minutes long. Rest Day

Well kind of... no gym today and no intense workout I did complete my 110 squats and 100 crunches. Beginning my detox tea in the morning  as well as the ACV drink at night.  ðŸ‘‘

6 AM

My first Saturday off in over a month... A part of me wanted to sleep in but then that ambitious, let’s get this done part of me kicked in. Next thing I know I’m up dressed and ready to go. I hit the streets for about 30 minutes. Walk/Jog other details pictured. I love the fresh air, the pavement, those unexpected hills. Once finished I came in and got my 100 squats and 100 crunches done ✅.

Consistency

I am 19 days in on my journey. That's 19 days consistent. 19 days focused. 19 days loyal to myself. 19 days determined. 19 days loving myself. 19 days taking care of me. Excuse me if I be a little cocky - I am surely feeling myself!  👑 Consistent Actions Create Consistent Results

6:15 am

I am in between loving my morning workouts and disliking them. This is because I am always rushing to work after. It's a love hate thing! Once I actually get to work I love the fact that I went in and busted it wide open - J/K. I did about 27 minutes today.  Elliptical - 15 mins - Speeds unknown setting was on Fat Burning for the first 7 minutes I hate keeping my hands on the HR monitor so I change to Manual. Treadmill - 12 minutes - Speed 3.2/4.0 for walking and 5.2 for running. I continued with the 2 min walk, 2 min run, 2 min walk, 2 min run etc up to 12 minutes.  Pictures were actually taken. Squats Squats & more Squats

I have been doing squats all morning long!  I've finished 175 of them so far.  My goal for today is 240  I was wondering how to figure out  the calories burned during squats.  I came across this article https://www.livestrong.com/article/441562-the-number-of-squats-it-takes-to-burn-3500-calories/ using the math I would burn about 22 calories per minute it takes me 1 minute to do a set of 25 squats.  So for every 100 squats I do "I burn 88 calories"  now who knows how accurate this is, I mean the machines  aren't that accurate. I like to have an idea - all a mental thing honestly!  👑 Update!  Finished 200 squats & 100 sit-ups

Quick Gym Visit

Everything counts - so when I have somewhat extra time I try to take full advantage of it! I went in today and put in about 28 minutes before work today. I didn't want to stop (how crazy does that sound). 16 minutes - Elliptical 12 minutes - Treadmill 2 minute walk 3.2 speed/3.2 incline 2 minute run 5.2 speed/ 0 incline 2 minute walk 3.2 speed/3.2 incline  2 minute run 5.2 speed/0 incline  2 minute walk 3.2 speed/3.2 incline  2 minute run 5.2 speed/0 incline

I love learning new things!

I truly do! Apple Cider Vinegar - need I say more? The benefits are endless. ACV contains enzymes, proteins, antioxidants, and good bacteria. The taste itself isn't satisfying, but the benefits out weigh that for me. I will begin drinking in some form before bed to help with losing weight it helps decrease your daily calories intake, releases enzymes that promote fat burning, lowers blood sugar levels, helps gastrointestinal problems the list goes on. Drink ingredients ACV - 2 tsps Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp Raw Honey - 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon - 1 tsp Water - 1 cup (hot water) Planning to do a "results" check in two weeks! Before and After photos will be posted. 👑

Gym visit

Whew! I was physically drained after like 15 minutes. How I pushed it to do the entire 30 minutes is beyond me. I didn't follow up this morning, but I will this evening! I've been so inspired lately!!! There are so many things I want to do with this fitness journey of mine. So excited!! More to come : )
I haven't been to the gym since  Tuesday, January 9 I also fell behind with my  air squats and crunches.  I am so back! I crushed 236 crunches and 160  squats last night. Did another 100 squats this morning  100 crunches during my lunch and another 100 squats.  Hitting the gym tonight after work!  DO NOT DWELL ON THE BAD, THE SLACKING SOME DAYS WILL BE THAT WAY OTHERS WON'T. ITS ALL ABOUT HOW YOU GET YOURSELF BACK UP AND BACK TO IT!

Challenge 2019

My coworker talked me in to joining basically a "challenge group". Each month they take a full 30 days and a certain amount of whichever exercise.  This lovely month of January is 100 air squats and 100 sit-ups.  Whew!  How is this out of shape body going to do this every single day?  Want to know how? But sucking it up and getting to it. I have not felt like it  the last few days I mean I have been in the bed ready to go to sleep and  forced myself to get up and get to it.  Telling myself You've got this!  And your damn right I do.  I started on Day 5 and I am now in on 717 sit ups and 895 air squats. My goal is to reach 9,600 in total by 1.31.2019. That's a pretty large number to me any way, but I am determined to get it. 👑

New Journey

Maybe the 3rd, 4th, or 5th time is the charm  I officially began my new fitness journey December 26, 2018. To be honest I didn't set a date. I didn't give myself a pep talk or anything. Do not get me wrong I am for whatever one has to do in order to do what they want to do or start their journey. This time around I was out driving and I ended up at the trail and started to walk, then run, then walk, then run, then I made a 10 minute video of me doing 3 sets of 25 squats, jumping jacks, and side leg raises. I believe that boosted my want to become more fit and healthier.  I started doing at home workouts and even went for an early morning 30 minute walk.  By Saturday, December 29th I was signed up to Planet Fitness. I have gone to the gym 11 times since then. I even pushed two gym visit in one day on two separate days. Lets just say I've been working. Now eating this is somewhat a struggle. Venting

I do not want to turn this in to a journal but I can not help but to vent about how this day of mine has been. Now I believe everything is a learning lesson but I also believe we are given opportunities to use those learn lessons. Lets just say I did not pass if today was one of those times. Now I do in no way feel bad about the situation because as a woman you have to stand your ground at times. I will say that I wish I would have handled the situation in its entirety better. Alright that's done!! Yayyy..she got it out her system. Thanks to my beautiful sister Danielle who is always my peace at times when I am not so peaceful. You a real one baby. 

Struggling

Hello! This morning was off to a pretty rocky start...I can't really put my finger on what I was feeling. I actually struggled with the title.. but I woke around 5:30 am but it honestly started last night. I do not recommend going to bed with a lot on your mind, mixed feelings our what have you. Try to mediate before laying to rest allow your mind to clear and breathing to be easy. I wish I would have... This morning was filled with feelings of sadness, from a broken heart to all types of emotions on situations I thought I had overcome. Clearly I hadn't... how I made it through this day is solely on my gym workout this morning something about sweat (I guess this morning sweat was tears) that gets that mess out your system. I left feeling hype, motivated to have a good day, and focused on what will/does make me happy. I am shutting out all negativity - negative people - negative environments - negative everything.
